White House Project President Marie Wilson to Attend “Twilight Gathering”Annual Women’s Caring Program Event Celebrates 30th Anniversary
Marie C. Wilson, Founder and President of The White House Project, will attend the 30th anniversary of the “Twilight Gathering” this Thursday, July 9th, and is available for interviews at the event. The annual garden party and fundraiser will be held in Milford by the Michigan-based foundation Women’s Caring Program (WCP).
The Twilight Gathering, held on the beautiful grounds of the home of WCP President Carol Walters, raises funds for WCP’s efforts to support early childhood education through licensed quality childcare for working poor families across Michigan. Since 1995, the WCP has raised over $2 million for Michigan children.
The White House Project is a national, nonpartisan 501(c)3 organization which works to advance diverse groups of women into positions of leadership, and operates a Great Lakes Regional Office in Grand Rapids. Marie Wilson, who founded the organization in 1998, is widely known as the co-founder of Take Our Daughters & Sons to Work Day and author of Closing the Leadership Gap: Add Women, Change Everything.
