The Colorado Leadership Council brings together philanthropists, activists, professionals, corporate leaders, elected leaders, and Go Run alumnae in support of The White House Project’s Colorado field office and training programs. This diverse network of women will contribute to the success of WHP and motivate other women to lead while simultaneously developing their own leadership and strengthening their own personal networks. The Colorado Leadership Council will advance women’s leadership in all communities and sectors and inspire, inform and equip a critical mass of women to enter Colorado’s political pipeline.
Founding Members (any member joining in 2009) agree to raise or give $1000 to The White House Project during this year to sponsor women attending WHP trainings throughout Colorado. As an ambassador of WHP, each member will also be encouraged to promote our training opportunities to her networks. Finally, in accordance with our vision to advance every woman’s leadership, members will receive private networking, mentoring, and training opportunities with The White House Project.
The Colorado Leadership Council will:
- Increase the visibility and power of women leaders in Colorado;
- Raise funds by expanding the region's base of support
- Identify and cultivate future donors, training partners and participants
- Build a team capable of more success than any one person would experience alone
- Recruit 25-30 women and men as founding Colorado Leadership Council Members
- Secure one or more foundation matching grants to compliment the investment of the founding Leadership Council Members
- Create a long-term pipeline of political leadership to support and advance our state’s greatest natural resource: our women leaders.
